ROCK ANCHORING

ROCK ANCHORING

Rock Anchoring is the term used to describe embedding of steel bars into bedrock or soil. The bars are bonded  to the earth with high strength grout composed of cement ,sand or other materials Anchoring the rock in this manner helps resist lateral thrust on the walls, stabilizes slopes and strengthens masonry. VCE offers two type of rock Anchoring services pre-stressed and passive. Pre-stressed rock anchor our inserted at a 45 degree angle and are used to protect shore piles. Passive anchors are drills at a 90 degree angle (vertically) on a raft of PCC cement. Crawler drilling rigs are used to insert in these anchors.

CONVENTIONAL PILING

Conventional piles are usually constructed to support new structures, but can also be used to underpin existing ones. Made of steel or reinforced concrete, these piles are driven into the ground and transfer the load of the structure to a deeper, more stable soil straum.PPF specialty in this field lies in hard rock drilling. This is enabled by our 4YDA & 6YDA Ruston Machines that have 3.2 tones chisel, which increase the penetration rate of the drill. We are specialist at 1200mm pilings.

Grout refers to construction material used to fill voids, connect section of concrete or steel or seal of certain area. The injection of grouting material into drilled holed fills up gaps, add stability and prevents movement of particles or materials in that space. Micro Piling was First developed in Italy, are smaller version of  concrete piles and are used in specialty or smaller – scale projects. A micro  pile is load bearing steel encased-pile and usually pressure grouted. The difference between micro piles and conventional large- diameter pile system is that micro piles can be installed in areas where head romm is lower. While most company offer upto 300mm diameter micro piles  , VCE can execute micro piles upto 450mm diameter. We have done micro piling for a number of commercial residential and  infrastructural project.
